  1. Introduction into textile waste, were it comes from and what we can do to reduce it (over zoom) x1

  2. Product design and development (in person) x1

  3. Support and management of production of goods.
    a. Support or make the proto sample/s
    b. Support finding volunteers or engage Second Stitch to make the product (which would lower your profit margin)
    c. Brief/teach students or volunteers how to produce sample
    d. Monitor production of goods
    e. Hand over products if required

  4. Debrief session (could be done before or after selling product or over zoom) x1
    a. Hand over products if required
    b. Discusses their learnings
    c. Discusses their thoughts
    d. Discusses things that we could improve on text time (course)
    e. Discusses things we could improve on as a community and things we could put in place as a school

Throughout the whole process the students are not only learning about textile waste but also

  • Teaching their families and communities about textile waste

  • Reducing textile waste

  • Engaging and educating the wider community in circular economy

  • Fundraising for their school and wider community
