Samantha Eyre
The Big Fair Trade Morning Break Co-ordinator

Email Samantaha Eyre
I moved to Melbourne in late 2010, with my partner, from Ireland. Since January 2011 I have been working as a sustainability consultant here in Melbourne, having lived for a little while in beautiful Tassie. I’m very fortunate to love what I do. I work with amazing people and get to work on some pretty great projects. My background is in global environmental change and policy, where I took an interest in the strong links between climate change impacts and the disproportionate effects these impacts will most likely have on people in developing countries. I think Fairtrade are playing an important role in creating change for these people as well as building their own capacity to shape their future.

I am a French food technologist. Having a job with responsibilities, I decided to make my choices ethical. During my studies, I have been working with the French Fairtrade organisation Max Havelaar and I have been president of a regional group for Engineers Without Borders in France. I love volunteering opportunities and I have also a dance background (I have been performing at Pako Festa, The Saint Kilda Festival and Moomba). I have decided this time to stay in the backstage by becoming Entertainment Co-ordinator.
