Art to Heal

Art to heal your soul and spirit, join artist Daniel DiBella all day on Saturday, make you own piece of expressive artwork

Host

Daniela DiBella - this year I was diagnosed with breast cancer and it changed my life and perspective. During my treatment I neeeded something positive and expressive to lift me up on the hard days. So I expressed by emotions and feelings weekly through my art. I wanted to share this with others and therefore began my business "Painting to Heal". I have always been an art student and later a participating artist. I worked at the NGV and as an art teacher. For years I have painted for me as a healing process, a way of expressing myself and to feel positive. Painting allows me to transcent that which is around me. I am inspired to share the joys of self expression with others. Creating warm and welcoming environment where the process of healing is assisted by creative communication of feelings onto canvasas. "Painting to Heal" fosters the process of healing through contemporary art. I will guide you to pain with acrylics, demonstrating various techn iques and allowing self expression.

I have had a lifelong affair with food - starting with my origins in Northern Borneo coupled with my South Asian heritage and South East Asian roots. I grew up surrounded by influences ranging from Northern India and across to Sulawesi - and that was just at home! By age 16, I was fortunate to have travelled most of the world which only added to my culinary exposure - and continues to. Our aim, if you're new to cooking, is to teach you basic techniques so that you can cook delicious meals for yourself. And if you know your way around the kitchen, we hope to enrich your culinary tapestry by sharing lesser known techniques and uncommon ingredients & flavours to shake up your kitchen creations!
